About The Movie:

This 15 minute showcase of our year as a TDM clan is not meant as a
best ever frags movie but just to show you what happened to us in our
first year of online play. [zion] Started from cold on the 1st Nov
2001 'we' (all the orginal members) installed Q3A 1.30 and walked
straight upto a Div2 team a told them that we wanted to make them
look stupid :)

Luckily for [zion] that team was Clan 2 eXtreme and they smashed us to
pieces and then turned around and said was there anything they could do
to help us... Like installing 1.31 and OSP lol

After watching 2eX The Devil's awesome Q3 movies I desperatly wanted to
see what I could do with our clans demos and ideas, so started the LONG
journey to Christmas 2002

How It Was Made:

It has taken just under a year to make this movie it has gone through loads
of different formations and ideas, ending up as the Movie you see now.
I started from stratch on Adobe Premiere and expanded as the year passed to
use my PhotoShop skills and add Adobe AfterEffects to my list of programs :)

Hardware -

iMac 400 740MB/13GB - 128bit Rage Mobility / Athlon 1GHz 128MB/6GB - 32MB TNT2

Software -

Adobe PhotoShop 6.0.1
Adobe AfterEffects 5.5
Adobe Premiere 6.0
GraphicConvertor 4.1
SoundEffects 0.9.2
QuickTime 6.0.1
DivX 5.02
Quake3Arena 1.31 (OSP 1.0.1)

All the Q3 movie frames were created on the Athlon and then compiled on the iMac
and the movie edited together in Adobe Premiere 6. The output was in Q3 Widescreen
with max gfx's and then reduced to 640 by 359 for editing when it was compiled in
GraphicConvertor. The sound was ripped from the demo via a audio cable to my iMac
which was recording it as a 16bit Stereo 44.1KHz AIFF.

The Matrix effect used in one of the scenes was generated from a Quake3 config
script with the help of .EB.v1rus. The rest of the config scripting from the
movie was orginally created by 2eX The Devil.

About The Soundtrack:

Most of the soundtrack has come from the "2001: A Space Odyessy",
"More Fast and Furious" and "Matrix" soundtracks. With a few addtions from my
other CD's and MP3's. There are also 4 Clips from the movies TopGun,
007: Goldeneye & Matrix are also in the soundtrack and therfore all the ©
belongs to the respected onwers and is only used in the movie on a "not for
profit basis". (all of the video track is orginal and © of Finch H.J. Read)
